Notion Ink Adam 2 could launch in December

Notion Ink is all set to launch a sequel to its Adam tablet. The Notion Ink Adam 2 is expected to have a December launch. The company will show case the tablet at CES in 2012.

The Notion Ink Adam launched earlier this year. Back then it was the first Android tablet on the market with a dual core NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor and a 10 inch Pixel Qi display. It is still the only tablet on the market with a Pixel Qi display.

Notion Ink hasn't revealed the specifications of the Adam 2 but word is that it will have a NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processor and a new Pixel Qi display.

The Pixel Qi transflexive displays are sunlight readable. They can operate in two modes. When the backlighting is on, the Pixel Qi display is like any other LCD display. But when you turn the back light off it will look like a black and white E ink display. In that mode it also consumes much less power than a regular LCD display.
